Mystery New owner of 1407 restaurant on the Harbour at Mortagne sur Gironde.

Theres been a buzz going around the town of Mortagne sur Gironde for the last few months. A 'mystery purchaser' has acquired and refurbished with a huge amount of style and 'je ne sais quoi' the beautiful old building that lines the harbour of Mortagne sur Gironde in the department of Charente Maritime S.W.France. This building occupies THE best position on the port, having 2 large open terraces where you can dine, almost on the waters edge, a delicious array of specially chosen and reworked gourmet menus, drink cocktails, a simple beer, coffee, or a bottle of the finest hand picked red the area has to offer. This is quite a dining experience, and certainly raises its head above the ubiquitous tourist establishments further afield. The 1407 Restaurant sits well amongst the well dressed owners of the yachts in the harbour. But who is this mystery owner? He is certainly well healed, as this is not a quick spruce up, glass terraces, exterior lounges, and totally new interior, with 4 seperate dining experiences within the main 1407 ;Yvain de Galles - gourmet restaurant, Les Voiles- brasserie, La Main Rouge, -Bar, all with food to die for. I really dont know who this new proprietor is, though all I do really care about, is when we can book and see what all the fuss is about!
